Hoole Methodist Church Choir

“Just what I was looking for”

is how one person recently described the experience

If you’d enjoy singing and a chat in a very friendly and relaxed environment, you’ll love our Friday evenings. We sing a wide range of music, modern and traditional, so if you can sing one note, we can help you sing a lot more, with the offer of free music theory and singing technique instruction.

Anyone is welcome to join us, and there are no charges or auditions! You can attend as often or as infrequently as you wish and you don’t have to attend Church to be part of the Fellowship.

In addition to rehearsals, the Choir also arrange fund raising events and enjoy social visits such as theatre and concert trips.

Choir Fellowship meet on Friday evenings from 7.30pm – 9.00pm. The atmosphere is informal but we do work hard at our singing and like to keep challenging what we are able to achieve. Our music is prepared well in advance and a copy of the programme is shown on the website’s Sunday Music page.

The Choir has a long history and in recent years has seen a broadening of its repertoire to include many modern pieces. The Choir have recently hosted “Come & Sing” performances of Stainer’s “Crucifixion” and Handel’s “Messiah”.

In addition to its contribution to Sunday worship, the Choir is looking to increase its repertoire to include some secular items suitable for concert performance.

Exciting times are ahead and we would love to welcome you to our Fellowship.
